The Center for Southern Folklore is located in downtown Memphis on Main Street between Peabody Place and Gayoso Avenue. This is where our main offices are as well as our spaces and stages available for private parties and cultural tours .

The Folklore Store is located at 123 S. Main (at the Peabody Trolley Stop) this is where most of our current shows are staged and where you can shop and nibble during the day.

There is convenient parking available in various parking lots all around the area (see parking map) as well as on the streets and in private drives for buses or truck loading/unloading.  If you visit us while parked in the Tower Garage across the street then we can stamp your card for a discount.

Our visitors can take advantage of the great restaurants and other attractions Memphis has to offer. We are within a short walking distance of The Peabody Hotel, AutoZone Park (where the Redbirds play), The Orpheum, Peabody Place Retail and Entertainment Center, Beale Street, FedEx Forum (where the Grizzlies play) and the South Main Historic District, to name just a few of the great things downtown Memphis has to offer.
