Wonky Tonk
3/12  Thursday  Memphis Rascals
          Boy Band Meets Soul Classics
3/13  Friday  Wonky Tonk
          Indie Folk & Bluegrass

In 2008 City Beat said this about Neverland, Kentucky's Wonky Tonk:  "Sweetly naive Folk music that has the off kilter lilt of Bjork raised in the Midwest and brought up on Woody Guthrie songs."  Founder Jasmine Poole ("Wonky") plays acoustic guitar and banjo sounds like "Janis Joplin buying Dylan at Walgreens."  She shares vocals with fiddle and mandolin player, Moriah Lawson and Nick Mitchell on melodica, mandolin and piano.   As for the group's name, Nick Mitchell describes it like this: " 'Wonk' is the new word for Punk, so we just use it all the time.  Moriah has a Bluegrass background, but I think we (he and Wonky) have more Punk and Rock influences.  We just happen to like the sound of these instruments." http://www.citybeat.com/cincinnati/article-16912-wonk-the-new-punk.html

What's for lunch?  Local and Touring Single/Duo/Group Acts will Perform Blues, Soul, Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Jazz, and Folk - just come by and find out who's playing.

"Brown Bag" your own lunch or try one of the Center's authentic Southern dishes - meat or meatless chili, vegetarian greens, hot water cornbread and peach cobbler - all prepared by Center cook Ella Kizzie.
