The music is FREE and you can bring your own lunch or buy ours - every Thursday & Friday 12-1 ! 4/23 Thursday: Vakeita Barrett and D. Lemont Sanford Gospel Jazz 4/24 Friday: Michael Eric Smooth Jazz Vakeita Barret has been singing and writing lyrically since the age of 12 with performances in local church choirs throughout the Memphis area. She is a featured soloist and writer on a positive hip hop CD entitled To the Fullest by local rapper Mac Gordon. Through her music she expresses her love for both smooth jazz and gospel. Her accompanist on piano and vocals, D. Lemont Sanford, is a musical director of local Christian jazz band, Qwest. His mastery of jazz, gospel and R&B makes him one of the most in-demand musicians in the Memphis area. What's for lunch? Local

Bluegrass, Jazz, and Folk - just come by and find out who's playing. "Brown Bag" your own lunch or try one of the Center's authentic
Southern dishes - meat or meatless chili, vegetarian greens, hot water
cornbread and peach cobbler - all prepared by Center cook Ella Kizzie. |
