Listen up Mid-South! Sunday April 17th at 2:00pm is the time to gather
all your family and friends, and head to the Levitt Shell inside Overton
Park. In celebration of National Donate Life Month, Mid-South
Transplant Foundation is hosting a free cultural arts festival in
conjunction with their 5th annual Linking Hands for Life event. Come
link hands along Poplar Ave, and then enjoy: the music of Minister Billy Rivers and the ...Angelic
Voices of Faith, Tonya Dyson and Green Onions, Star and Micey and
multi-instrumentalist Westmoreland; performers from the Hattiloo Theatre
will grant us a sneak peak at their soon to open play – Crowns; and
we’ll all be sure to move when the Red Hot Lindy Hop dance troop get to
swinging.
This is some of Memphis’ best musical, theatrical and
dance performers, and you don’t want to miss it! It’s all happening on
Sunday April 17th at 2:00pm, rain or shine, at Overton Park’s Levitt
Shell. This event is presented by Mid-South Transplant Foundation,
and sponsored in part by, the Center for Southern Folklore, Hattiloo
Theatre, Amro Music, Blue Bell Ice Cream, the Levitt Shell, and the many
supporters of organ and tissue donation.
